CABWI is delighted to award £2,500 to Pump Aid, which operates exclusively in Malawi, as one of its legacy charities. This is the fourth year that CABWI has made a donation to Pump Aid which aims to increase sustainable access to water, sanitation, and hygiene in rural communities to positively impact the health, education and nutrition outcomes of millions of people living in poverty.
Paul Byrne, CEO of CABWI says: “CABWI has developed into an essentially UK-focused charity, however, in our early years we did make donations further afield and Pump Aid was one of our first charities. We have always been impressed by Pump Aid’s innovative approach to promote community self-reliance, striving to break the cycle of aid dependency by developing sustainable solutions to improve water access for poor communities, households and farmers.”
